Autodesk Revit is the leading Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, used by architects, structural engineers, MEP specialists and project managers to design, document and coordinate construction projects on a single platform. This licence is delivered to your own email address, and you sign in on the official Autodesk website with your own account to download and activate the genuine software. Revit is Windows-only; there is no macOS version.
Revit is built around parametric modelling, so every wall, floor, roof, column and door is linked across all 2D plans, sections and 3D views, meaning a single change updates your entire project automatically. It supports multi disciplinary collaboration through worksharing and BIM 360/ACC integration, clash detection between architectural, structural and MEP models, dedicated tools for mechanical, electrical and plumbing design, structural analysis links, automatic schedules and quantity takeoffs, and built in rendering with real time Ray Trace previews. Dynamo visual programming and the Revit API also let you automate repetitive tasks and connect Revit to your own studio pipeline.
This is an educational (EDU) licence, suitable for individual, non commercial learning and personal project use. It covers Revit versions 2024 through 2027 and requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) with at least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB or more recommended) and around 30 GB of free SSD space.
